Anthropologists still have not agreed on how kissing started in human history.  But kissing has become an accepted form of expressing one's self.  Here are some interesting facts about kissing that you may not know.

 1.  Tilting To The Right Is Commonly Preferred

Many films depict couples kissing with their heads tilted to one side.  more than just a cinematography style, people actually tilt their head when they kiss.  The direction of choice for most is the right.  If you are used to kissing your partner with your head tilted on the right, try going left for a surprise.  But chances are you'll move your head towards your preferred right side sooner or later.

2.  It Takes Effort To Kiss

Kissing is a facial workout.  And depending on how passionate or active you are when kissing, you can tire yourself out fast.  So the key is to relax and enjoy the connection.  This is not an endurance run so take it easy.

3.  Can You Handle More Than 58 Hours of Kissing?

Now this is a feat worthy of praise.  remember the 34 muscles that get used when kissing?  Well, this is that endurance test that I was talking about.  Guinness Book of Record awarded the title of the longest kiss to Ekkachai Tiranarat and Laksana Tiranarat from Thailand in 2013.

4.  Royalty Bans Kissing

In a bid to stop the spread of disease, King Henry VI banned kissing.  It is a logical step since kissing transfers at least 10 million bacteria from one person to another.  Of course, not everyone followed this rule.

5.  3-Second Kissing Limits

It was a conservative times then.  If they new how long kissing scenes are done now, they'd probably walk out of the theaters.

6. Have You Reached Your Kissing Quota?

Of course this is just an estimate.  You can go beyond this quota.  Just remember that every time you kiss you share more than 10 million germs with your partner.  but who cares, it's fun right?

7. Kissing 3,500 Years Ago

This is how long kissing has been around.  And chances are, people earlier than this time have experimented on kissing.  Suffice to say, it's been part of human history and chances are it will remain part of our future.

Kissing is a way to show our emotions.  From the time we were born we have been kissed by people we love.  And throughout our lives people will share special moments with us with a kiss.
